Please make sure to bring the following details to your attention: 1. Preview prior to each class, work with the target language lists from the Listening tool file to support yourself, make sure to print the list out and have it on you during the input CT class so you can refer to it and take more focused notes on expansion when needed. 2. Use each of the time with your teachers as a chance to work on your English communication (utilize the resources available to you).
For the input review, please follow the steps below:
Step 2. Skim through the Target Language first to review some of the targeted functional and topical language.
Highlight 20-30% to give yourself more focus when doing the daily personalization and intermittent review. Submit this part in your class group to let us know and share with your team.
Use this highlight as a focus for your personalization practice. The less fluent you are with a language item, the more often you should practice with it.
Step 3. Listen to this Topic\'s conversations again following the script, do it several times in order to make stronger connections between the languaeg you \"know\" and the language \"your brain can hear/process fast\". Make sure to get back to it from time to time even when you work on other tasks or topics. Conversation 1
Conversation 2
Step 4. Select 1 small part of one of the conversations for your Shadowing practice.
Submit the recording of your final version in the class group within 3 days
Requirements (NOT suggestions, but requirements):
1. Cannot be longer than 6 lines. The length of the content is outweighed by the intensity of the practice.
2. Cannot take longer than 15 mins of practice. But must be intensive towards clarity of speech and intonation patterns. Your facial muscles should be tired after these 15 mins.
3. Select the part that is CHALLENGING for you (maybe there\'s some new language, maybe you didn\'t hear all the little details when you did the listening, maybe there\'s some nice challenging linking in the natural version). If it\'s easy when you practice, you won\'t be improving. Use the time you spend wisely!
4. First read your selected part to yourself, then listen to the model speakers, after that try to follow them several times. Finally, when recording yourself don\'t follow the original, just do your practiced version. 👇 Fluency doesn\'t equal speed; you don\'t have to be speak fast to be fluent, but rather need to have a smooth flow and the right features within each part of a sentence.
Remember we\'re here if you have any question.
