The correct way to use "went wrong" is to say that "something went wrong" with a noun.

Correct use cases:
✅ Yesterday something went wrong with my computer, so I had to take it to a repair shop.
✅ As I was writing an e-mail yesterday, something went wrong with the internet. That's why I didn't get back to you on time. Sorry about that.
✅ When I tried to make a phone call, something went wrong with my phone. I couldn't get any signal.

Alternate correct uses:
✅ I thought we'd finish by today but unexpectedly a few things went wrong along the way.
✅ Frankly everything went wrong today at the meeting.
✅ Although we had hoped communication between us would get better, it didn't. In fact, it all went wrong which led to us having a heated argument.


Here are some common mistakes for using "went wrong".
Incorrect:
❌The printer went wrong.
❌When I was having a TC the call went wrong.
❌We followed the procedure but the reaction went wrong.
