In your conversation you've seen some good examples of Functional language (interrupting someone, clarifying a point, making your argument, agreeing/disagreeing, etc). Our goal with this task is to:
- help you further expand on some of the functions you've seen;
- help you stay open to new language and flexible in use (both passive and active);
- give you more listening practice opportunities.
Step 1. Listen to each audio (it could be a dialogue, a monologue or a selection of useful phrases for the Function stated). Step 2. Write down useful phrases you hear for the function stated. Step 3. Shadow 2-3 examples. Submit your recording IF YOU WISH TO get feedabck and please @ a teacher Step 4. Optional: create your own example on one of the functions.
