Good morning!
Here's our weekend review step:
Address your client in a video.
Explain the problem you've net
The steps you've alreade taken
Your next proposed plan
Share a 1-1.5 min video by the end of Monday
Use at least 10 sentence structures you've been working, create a list and share with us.
DO NOT read off of a script, create an outline for your speech. Also share with us in a screenshot.
Requirements (not suggestions, but requirements):
1. Do not miss the deadline or go over the time goal.
- Why the time goal?
- Your goal is not to speak more, but to be efficient and effective with your ideas -this takes logic.
2. Do not read off of a written text - you can and should have notes to refer to, but not the whole text written out (share the notes in the class group as well).
3. Set a time limit for your preparation. You should not spend more than 30 mins on this task. (Think -> take note -> practice -> record) You have two days to complete this task, so spread the preparation over two days: for example, think of your ideas today, pick some language points and think it over in your head, tomorrow - work on the final notes draft and the recording.
- Why the time limit?
- We have to stick to one constant in our preparation and performance to be able to see the progress you make within the course. Today your "quality" is "N" within a 30-min time frame. 3 weeks late it should be "N+1" within the same time frame.
4. It has to be in a video format.
- Why a video?
- First, so we can monitor whether you produce or just read off of paper. But also, for YOU to be able to watch yourself speak and then analyze what you'd like to adjust about your delivery.
