The words "borrow" and "lend" often get mixed up.

To borrow means to take something from someone with the intention of returning it.
To lend tends mean to give something to someone to use for a temporary period.

Here are some examples of how to use borrow correctly:

✅Can I borrow your pen?
✅She borrowed a book from the library.
✅When will you give me back the baseball glove that you borrowed?

Here are some examples of how to use lend correctly:
✅He lent me his game for the weekend.
✅They lend money to people who want to create businesses.
✅Will you lend me you lend me a hand on this project?

And here are some examples of incorrect usage:
❌Can I lend your pen? (should be “Can I borrow your pen?”)
❌She lent a book from the library. (should be “She borrowed a book from the library.”)
❌He borrowed me his car for the weekend. (should be “He lent me his car for the weekend.”)
❌They borrow money to people in need. (should be “They lend money to people in need.”)
