"There have/there has"
This expression is always incorrect
❌ I have a team of 10 people. There has 6 boys and 4 girls.
❌ There have 3 people in my department.
We should say: There is/There are
There is/There are
✅ There are 10 people in total on my team.
✅ There is a bathroom just down the hallway.
✅ Although many of my team members are men, there are also 4 women.
✅ In my department there is only one team leader.
Notice this⚠️
✅ There has been a change in management.
= there + "be" in present perfect, NOT there + has
❌ There has a change in the computer code yesterday.
✅ There have been many mistakes recently. We've got to get on top of it!
