What have you done? (Talking about the past)
Which tenses do I need to use? To describe what you have done in the past, we most commonly use these three tenses:
Past Simple (did sth)
I ate breakfast this morning. We finished the project last week.
Present Perfect (have done sth)
We have completed three targets so far this week. I haven’t eaten anything all day.
Present Perfect Continuous (have been doing sth)
He’s been eating for over an hour. I have been searching the literature for ages, but I can’t find anything useful.
Let’s look at how to choose which of them to use.
