Multitasking has a bad rep (=a bad reputation) for being disruptive ti the "flow". You most probably already know if you switch between two different tasks, there's this period of "getting into it" befor you do it at your most efficient way, so ultimately, when switching between tasks, we lose our productivity points. That has been proved.

However, together with this article from HBR (Harvard Business Review), we get a glimpse into how "perception" of being a multitasker can benefit you.

1.Across 32 studies, people who perceived themselves as doing two things at once (for example, listening to a lecture and taking notes) outperformed people primed to see the same activity as consisting of a single task (taking lecture notes).

2. Furthermore, if people are already engaged in multiple tasks, making them aware that they are multitasking should increase engagement and help them perform better.




In the biotech field, employees are often required to work across a variety of tasks and studies, demonstrating their ability to be flexible and adaptable. They are primed to tackle new challenges and be unafraid to learn new skills. A successful biotech team consists of people able to outperform expectations, delivering high-quality results consistently. Furthermore, they must be able to handle multiple projects at once, without sacrificing quality or accuracy. In order to increase productivity and efficiency, regularly evaluating and optimizing processes should be a priority.
