Acronyms and abbreviations can be a bit of a nightmare if you don't know what they stand for.

While some of us have the guts to ask for clarification when we have no idea what's being said, others cringe at the thought.
Well, today's your lucky day. We've rounded up abbreviations for the most commonly used terms that you're likely to run into at work (or more likely, in an email).

Written Acronyms
These are rarely said as acronyms in spoken workplace English (unless it's an established tradition within a company or a field), you'll mostly find these version in writing, more specifically in emails. When we speak we use the whole phrase or a variation of the whole phrase. For example, EOD will turn into "end of the day", OT will turn into "off topic".

another good one that's just come up is CW
CW = calendar week

CW2 2023 = the second week of 2023
