It's an interesting idea to go for synthesizing a common intermediate first, for all the targets

Actually, we had considered that option as it would simplify the synthesis process. However, we have some reservations about it. Or main concern is that, based on our past experience, we think it will take a long time to synthesize.

That means we couldn't get started on the synthesis chemistry for all the compounds in parallel and there would be a risk of delaying the delivery.

Another aspect that we have to keep in mind is the low-availability of the key starting material. If we are unable to obtain a sufficient quantity, we are, of course, more than capable of synthesizing it in-house. However, this would likely negate any of the time saved. In light of this, we think we'd be better off sticking to the standard routes in the patent and then developing new routes in parallel.
